The Weihrauch HW45 is considered one of the best spring powered air pistols amongst serious air gunners. The HW45 is also one of the few pistols that is capable of being an effective vermin hunter as it is so powerful and accurate. This pistol produces around 5.5ft/lbs of muzzle energy at full power, which is not only ideal for pest control but also provides laser flat trajectories and fired pellets that are far less susceptible to crosswinds and other environmental conditions. This leads to higher accuracy and a pistol that is a more than capable target shooter. The over lever cocking mechanism is easy to use and features a two stage cocking system. Stage one, cocking the pistol to 90 degrees is for low power shooting - producing around 2ft/lb. Stage two - a full cock of the mechanism will produce a full power shot of around 5-5.5ft/lb. The HW45 has been loosely modelled on the Colt 45's shape for improved aesthetics. This .177 air pistol features textured walnut grips and a dovetail rail for attachment of add-on optics. This pistol is around 10 years old and I have hardly used it - I have fired less than 2 tins of pellets through it over the years. The HW45 is in superb condition and has been regularly cleaned and oiled, it performs as well as any brand new pistol. A high power springer pistol that is in great condition for its age.
